This whimsical little cloud is inspired by the deep sea and a dream of what lies below. It is made up of beads in ivory, gold and the palest pastel shades of blue and purple. Nestled in the beads are two limpet shells, hand picked from British beaches. Tiny beads edge out from the inside of the limpet shells. A gold coloured chain is draped at the bottom of the cloud, with a large decorative shell attached to one end of it. This design is embroidered on a loose weave hessian fabric and framed in a 5” wooden hoop which has been hand stained in a whitewashed style.
The back of this hoop is covered so the stitches are not visible. The edges have been glued down to fix them to the hoop. This embroidery is not designed to be taken out of the hoop. This hoop can be hung on a wall or also looks just as pretty propped up on a shelf.
