This beautiful hoop has been inspired by a walk along the beach in South Wales, in the last weeks of Summer - before the autumn colours truly land.
A mix of fabrics have been layered to mimic the beautiful landscape. Wildflowers in soft, pastel shades have been hand embroidered in the foreground of the hoop. The beach has been adorned with seashells, beads, imitation coral and seaglass. A glistening sea has been hand embellished using an iridescent embroidery floss, and two fluffy clouds in the sky have been created using French knots.
This design is framed in a wooden hoop, measuring approximately 7”, which has been hand stained in a cherry finish.
The back of this hoop is covered so the stitches are not visible. The edges have been glued down to fix them to the hoop. This embroidery is not designed to be taken out of the hoop. This hoop can be hung on a wall or also looks just as pretty propped up on a shelf.
