This quirky little hoop has been inspired by a holiday to the beach in South Wales, peeking out of hotel windows at the seaview.
A mix of fabrics have been layered to mimic the beautiful landscape. Wildflowers in bright, summery shades have been hand embroidered in the foreground of the hoop. The beach has been adorned with seashells, seaglass, and tiny beads.. A glistening sea has been hand embellished using an iridescent embroidery floss, and two fluffy clouds in the sky have been created using French knots.
This design is framed in a unique square hoop, made of wood, and with rounded corners. It measures approximately 5”, and has been hand stained in an oak finish.
The back of this hoop is covered so the stitches are not visible. The edges have been glued down to fix them to the hoop. This embroidery is not designed to be taken out of the hoop. This hoop can be hung on a wall or also looks just as pretty propped up on a shelf.
